Dublin Bus Assess Impact Of Feared Second Strike

An accountancy firm has been brought in to assess what losses Dublin Bus would suffer if drivers stage any further strike action.

Weekend reports suggested that Deloitte had been brought in to look at the possibility of liquidating the company but sources say it’s to gauge how the company would be hit financially if more strikes occur.

Drivers – who will be balloted by unions again later this week – downed tools for three days in August over a cost cutting plan of nearly 12 million euro which management argues needs to be implemented in order to save the company.
