Over €60,000 worth of illegal drugs have been seized at Shannon Airport.
As a result of risk profiling, Revenue Officers at the MidWest facility confiscated 3kg of herbal cannabis on Friday January 12th.

The illicit drugs were discovered in parcels originating from the USA and were destined for addresses in Counties Limerick, Cork and Tipperary.
The seizure marks the second occasion in the space of a week, that illegal drugs were intercepted in Shannon Airport, after 4.5kgs of herbal cannabis was seized on January 5th.
Investigations in respect of both seizures are ongoing.
