Drugs with an estimated value of around €350,000 and a quantity of money have been seized by Gardaí in Clare.
It follows the search of a car on the outskirts of Ennis over the weekend.
On Friday night, members of the Divisional Drugs Unit, assisted by the Regional Support Unit stopped and searched a car on the outskirts of Ennis.
During the course of the search, approximately €350,000 euros worth of suspected Cocaine and a quantity of money was located in the car and seized.
A man in his late 20’s and a second in his 30’s were arrested at the scene and detained at Ennis Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
Both males were charged with offences of possession of drugs for sale or supply and money laundering and brought in custody before a special sitting of Newcastlewest District Court yesterday.
They were remanded in custody to appear before Limerick District Court in the coming week.
The suspected controlled substances have been forwarded to Forensic Science Ireland for examination.
