Drugs Prevalent In Every Town And Village In Clare

The leader of a prominent addiction service in the Mid-West says drugs are present in every town and village in Clare.

The Ana Liffey Drug Project recently launched their annual report for 2020 which found that drug use in the Mid-West doubled during the pandemic.

Since the establishment of the Mid-West branch of the addiction service in 2012, Ana Liffey have helped on average 250 per year – this jumped to 490 people last year.
