Gardaí in Clare will be equipped with specialist testing devices, as part of efforts to target people driving under the influence of drugs on Clare roads this Bank Holiday weekend.
There has been a 106% increase in arrests for drug-driving across the country in the first six months of this year, compared to the same period in 2019.
For that reason, Gardaí are stepping up patrols and putting increased checkpoints in place to target people under the influence of drugs, or alcohol, or anyone who’s speeding.
