Drug Abuse among Youths Worrying

A rising drug abuse problem has lead to extra hardships on Clare families, as well as growing fears about the spread of drug related crime.

That’s part of the findings of the Mid-West Regional Drugs taskforce, who have reported worrying levels of heroin and cocaine abuse, in the region, and shockingly, they say even children as young as 10 are engaged in the abuse of cannabis in parts of West Clare and Limerick.
