62 Notices To Quit Issued To Clare Tenants At Year End

There was a drop in the number of notices to quit issued to tenants in Clare at the end of last year.

New figures from the Residential Tenancies Board show 62 notices were issued by landlords to their tenants in this county the last quarter of 2022.

New figures published by the Residential Tenancies Board show that 4,329 notices to quit were issued to tenants across the country between October and December last year.

 

43% of these were in the Dublin area; the highest in the country.

Clare recorded the lowest number in Munster, with 62 notices of termination issued to tenants in this county in the final quarter of last year, down from 82 in the previous three months.

Cork recorded the highest number of 475 in this province, followed by neighbouring Limerick at 205.

113 notices were issued to tenants in Kerry, while Waterford and Tipperary recorded 95 and 92 respectively.

The data shows that more than half of the NoTs issued nationally were on account of landlords intending on selling the property, with 16% on account of a member of the landlord’s family intending on moving in.

A further 16% was due to breaches of tenant obligations.
