There’s been a significant fall in the number of COVID-19 patients in the region’s main hospital.
The latest HSE figures show there were 22 people with the virus being treated in University Hospital Limerick last night.

That figure is down from 37 just two days earlier.
The hospital is still treating six COVID patients in intensive care, which is the joint-highest figure of any Irish hospital.
Meanwhile, 88 staff have returned to work across the UL Hospitals Group, following an outbreak of Covid-19 at UHL and Ennis General.
133 staff members, who either tested positive or are considered close contacts remain off work.
