The number of new cars sold in Clare so far this year has dropped significantly on the same period in 2016.
The Latest SIMI/Done Deal quarterly review shows that 2,683 units were purchased in the first ten months of the year compared to just over 3,100 in the same period last year.

It amounts to a 13 per cent drop in sales figures, which is slightly ahead of the national rate of decline of 10 percent.
