There's been a significant drop in the level of overcrowding at the region's main hospital today
Nurses say 29 people were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, 15 of those in the emergency department.
It's in stark contrast to last week's figures which peaked at 66, when trolley numbers reached record levels.
University Hospital Cork is the busiest hospital in the country today, where 46 people are waiting to be admitted.
