There was a dip in the number of commercial terminal flights at Shannon last month.

The latest figures from the Irish Aviation Authority shows that air traffic dropped by 1.2% at Shannon in February, despite a rise of almost 3% at Dublin Airport and 4% in Cork.

Overall flights into, out of, and over Ireland increased by 1.7 per cent compared to the same month last year.

There was also a jump in flights over Ireland that didn’t land here, and flights from Europe and North America were also on the up.
