There’s been a slight drop in the average sale price of a house in Clare in November.
Data from the Central Statistics Office shows the mean price of a house sold in this county in that month was just over €193,000.
There were 106 residential dwelling transactions in Clare in the month of November according to the CSO – which is a drop of just over 13 percent compared to the month prior.
The average price of those transactions was around €193,700 – compared to over €211,000 in October.
However, it’s still the highest November figure on record and is an increase of around 2 percent in the past year.
Median prices, which are sometimes seen as a more true reflection of the picture, dropped to around €200,000 from a high of €220,000 the month before.
However, there’s no data on the type, size or age of the properties that were traded in this timeframe, which could make a difference to overall values.
Around a quarter of transactions that took place in Clare in the month of November were from first time buyer owner occupiers.
