The number of people arrested for drink driving offences in Clare over the August Bank Holiday weekend has significantly reduced since this time last year.

One person was arrested for drink driving compared to eight in the same period in 2014.
The Clare Garda Traffic Corps has released its annual bank holiday statistics which also show that there was no fatal traffic accidents, while the number of non serious injurty traffic incidents was down from 4 in 2014 to 3 last weekend.
There was no serious injuries either year over the August Bank Holiday but material damage accidents were up by 3 to 9 this year.
