Clare’s Independent TD says he won’t support Leo Varadkar in the vote for the new Taoiseach, if issues of concern aren’t advanced.
Dr Michael Harty met the Fine Gael Leader last evening as part of Leo Varadkar’s efforts to garner support ahead of forming his new administration next week.
Dr Harty raised a number of local issues including investment in Ennis General and St Joseph’s Hospitals, flooding in Clonlara and Ballycar, as well as issues surrounding the Sláinte report and the future of healthcare.

Leo Varadkar has made no committment on any of the issues but Dr Harty’s told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that he’ll need answers before Wednesday’s vote.
