Nurses have reported more than double the number of admitted patients on trolleys at the region’s main hospital than any other facility in the country once again today.
The latest INMO figures show there were 93 patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 29 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 48 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital and represents a fifth of the total number of patients on trolleys at Irish hospitals today.
