A tourism operator has hit out at over an IBAL report labelling Doolin as a “litter blackspot” saying the findings are “grossly unfair”.
The results of a first of it’s kind An Taisce report commissioned by Irish Business Against Litter this week, found the north Clare tourism hotspot to be one of the the country’s worst coastal areas for littering.

Lahinch was deemed to be “littered”, while Kilkee was moderately littered.
Doolin Tidy Towns and Clare County Coucnil have already disagreed with the findings, saying a lot of work goes into maintaining the area.
