Plans for a new pier in Doolin will be signed-off on this morning, in a move which is set to bring a huge economic boost to the North Clare area.

Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin visits Clare this afternoon and will sign contracts for the 5.2 million euro development, which has been planned for a number of years.
It's expected to serve as a boost to local rescue services and ferry operators.
