Ferry operators in Doolin who fail to abide by new bye-laws could have their permits suspended or revoked.

Submissions are being sought from members of the public on a new set of bye-laws for the Doolin Pier area following a special meeting of West Clare Municipal District, with the consulation period lasting for a month.
A new 6 million euro pier facility opened last year after many years of campaigning but tensions have been high as a number of companies compete for business.
Ennistymon Fianna Fail Councillor Richard Nagle says the appointment of harbour masters to govern regulation of the piers is one of the proposals.
