Doolin Coast Guard Celebrates Landmark Anniversary This Weekend

Doolin Coast Guard will celebrate a landmark anniversary this weekend by marking the contribution of the volunteers who have dedicated their lives to saving others.

The search and rescue service has been in operation in North Clare for the past 80 years, having first being set up in 1937.

Since then, 96 volunteers have spent three years or more involved with the Coast Guard responsing to callouts at any time they’re needed.
