Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD is urging the Agricultural Minister to throw out the rulebook and let farmers make hay while the sun shines.
Under current regulations, a July 1st deadline for grass cutting for Traditional Hay Meadows applies to those on the GLAS scheme.
But with the current sunny weather and soaring temperatures, conditions for hay production are ideal.
