Dooley Hits Out At Plans For Payment Of Water Grants

The government is being accused of taking another 'fundamentally flawed' approach with regards to Irish Water.

Letters regarding water conservation grants are beginning to arrive today, but people will have to supply PPS numbers and bank details to be paid.

Deputy Timmy Dooley of Fianna Fáil says this creates another database, and additional expense.

He feels it is merely another layer to what calls Irish Water's “bureaucratic structure.”
