Clare's Fianna Fáil TD has accused the government of misleading the public on plans for employment within the Shannon Group.

Deputy Timmy Dooley has hit out after it was confirmed that Shannon Group, which comprises of the Airport, Shannon Heritage and the former Shannon Development, is to begin discussions with unions on voluntary redundancies at the company.
In a comment to Clare FM, a spokesperson for Shannon Group has stressed that redundancies will be voluntary, and that this will make for a "more sustainable business model."
However, Timmy Dooley says promises of no job cuts are being broken.
