Clare Fianna Fail TD Timmy Dooley has been congratulated in the Dail, after taking leader’s questions for the first time.

Deputy Dooley was congratulated by the Education Minister, who took questions on behalf of the government, though it was Ruairi Quinn who was the focal point of the Clare TD’s criticisms.
Deputy Dooley claimed that the government’s plans to revise the means test for student grants amounts to an attack on rural Ireland.
