Dooley Concerned Over Government’s Approach To Dealing With Fodder Crisis

Clare’s Fianna Fáil TD has expressed concern that the government’s approach to dealing with the fodder crisis could leave suckler farmers behind.

The government’s planned transport subsidy, worth 1.5 million euro, will be made available to co-ops and fodder agents to tackle the serious shortage affecting farms throughout Ireland.

But Deputy Timmy Dooley is concerned that suckler farmers here, who don’t have connections to co-ops, won’t be helped by the proposals.
