Clare's Fianna Fáil TD has called for state investment in Kilrush Marina, even though plans are in place for the facility to be sold.

The marina is owned by Shannon Development, which has entered into an agreement for it to be sold to Kilmihil-based developer L&M Keating.
The sale is subject to planning, which was sought last year, and the process which is continuing after the initial application was deemed incomplete.
Kilrush Marina was also damaged during recent storms, and Deputy Timmy Dooley feels urgent works are required for the good of the town's economy.
