Dolores O'Riordan has been arrested by Gardaí in Shannon.
It's understood the Cranberries front woman is alleged to have been involved in an assault on a flight attendant on a New York to Shannon flight.
Gardaí were called to the Airport at a quarter to 6 this morning and it is understood a member of the force was also allegedly assaulted.
Ms O'Riordan remains in custody in Shannon Garda Station in connection with the incident – where she can be held for up to 24 hours under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
