Clare’s County Dog Warden is urging people with dangerous dogs to ensure they’re muzzled when out in public.
It follows an incident in Shannon over the weekend involving a bulldog, during which a woman and her dog were injured.

It’s understood the woman’s dog remains at the veterinary clinic receiving treatment for serious injuries sustained during the incident.
The matter is under investigation by Gardaí and Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says it’s vital that dogs displaying any form of aggression are kept under control.
