Doctors Signal Possibility Of Strike

Doctors could be set to strike as part of a row with the HSE.

The Irish Medical Organisation is demanding management reinstate the 3 thousand euro 'living out allowance' for non consultant hospital doctors.

They say they wanted to negotiate a resolution, but are now taking their claims to the High Court next week.

Dr Paddy Hillery is chairman of the non-consultant hospital doctors' committee in the IMO – he says they'll monitor the outcome of the hearing.
