Middle-aged men from working-class backgrounds are TEN times more likely to commit suicide than those from more affluent backgrounds, according to the Samaritans.

Their study based on research in Ireland & the UK suggests it’s because many feel they’ve lost their masculine pride and identity as they’ve got older, due in some part to the changing nature of the labour market over the last 60 years.
