A Government TD says discussions with the IDA in an effort to boost investment and jobs growth in Clare will take place in the coming weeks.

It comes as new figures show the rate of unemployment in the Mid-West has dropped below 10 per cent for the first time in seven years.
But despite an increase in the number of people working, the latest CSO figures show that unemployment is still higher than the rest of the country.
Fine Gael TD Pat Breen is welcoming the drop in unemplyoment but he's been telling me that there needs to be a continued focus on jobs growth outside of the capital.
