Disappointment has been expressed over Clare County Council's decision to hire full-time security for its headquarters.

Reports this week say the local authority has introduced a full-time security presence at Áras Chontae an Chláir in recent months.
No reason has been given for the introduction, but at a meeting of Ennis area representatives last evening, Councillors expressed disappointment and spoke of how Council staff had sometimes been been abused by members of the public.
