A US senate vote on Wednesday on whether to support military action against Syria has been postponed.

The postponement came amid speculation that President Barack Obama may be willing to accept a diplomatic solution – instead of military intervention – in Syria.
Yesterday, the Russian Foreign Minister said he’d held talks with his Syrian counterpart and proposed surrendering the regime’s chemical weapons to the international community.
The Russian proposal has been backed by the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
