A design has been chosen for a new memorial in Ennis to those who died in conflict overseas.

The Clare Peace Park Initiative aims to commemorate the approximately 700 Clare people who lost their lives in World War One, as well as others who died in World War Two, the Korean War and the Spanish Civil War.
It's hoped that three standing stones with the names of the deceased will be in place by the end of next year if funding of 30,000 euro can be found.
