A prominent Clare Government TD has says he was one of the ten pre cent of Dáil deputies to have had his expenses audited in recent months.
Fine Gael's Pat Breen has been responding to the publication of the over 220,000 euro he claimed since the 2011 General Election.
Clare's Four TDs are reported to have claimed in excess of €848,000 in expenses with the highest amount in the country paid to Fianna Fail's Michael Moynihan of Cork South West, who has received over €232,000.

Clare's Labour TD Michael McNamara has also responded to this mornings reports,and says he vouches for all his expenses and publishes the details of where the money goes on his website.
