Two flights from Gatwick and Heathrow had to circle above Shannon as police removed two protesters who had scaled the perimeter fence and lay down on the runway.
A file is being prepared for the DPP on the incident.
The protesters involved are unapologetic over their actions which they say was to raise awareness of the war in Afghanistan.
However speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus Ennis woman Ann Smith who was on the Gatwick flight says the pair could have put lives in danger.
