A dedicated Community Policing Unit has been established for east Clare.
This new unit which will also cover Tipperary North, comprises of seven Gardaí who will be stationed across Killaloe, Newport, Nenagh, and Roscrea Garda Stations.

The Community Policing Unit will aim to address crime and anti-social behaviour while also focusing on implementing crime prevention and reduction strategies.
Increased visibility, engagement with the public and a proactive presence in local schools will also be delivered to attempt to ensure a safer and more secure environment for all residents.
