The death toll following an explosion at a coal mine in western Turkey is continuing to rise – with 282 now confirmed dead.

The country's energy minister says a fire is still blazing inside which is hindering the rescue operation.
It's been more than 24 hours since the last survivor was pulled from the site in the town of Soma – more than one hundred others remain trapped underground.
