The death has been announced of a long-serving West Clare priest.
Fr Paddy Culligan was ordained in June 1958, and later served as Curate in Kilkee and Kilmurry McMahon.
He was appointed Parish Priest of Carrigaholt in November 1989 where he served until 2008 when he retired and was appointed Priest in Residence of the parish, continuing to serve until 2018.

Fr Culligan’s funeral mass will be celebrated in the parish of Carrigaholt on Monday.
