Deadline For Rural Clare Post Office Operators To Accept Redundancy Packages

At least two rural post offices in Clare, earmarked for closure by An Post, will soon shut their doors for good.

Postmasters and postmistresses from 14 post offices around the county have until today to inform the company whether or not they intend to accept a voluntary redundancy packages.

Cooraclare and Kilfenora post offices have confirmed to Clare FM that they intend to close, with Whitegate, Labasheeda, Quilty, Kilmurry McMahon, Feakle, Dromindoora, Carrigaholt and Broadford all to remain open.
