Days Of Plastic Coffee Cups Could Be Numbered According To Ennis Manufacturer

The man behind a prominent Ennis-based paper cup firm believes the days of traditional plastic-lined disposable coffee cups could be numbered.

The so-called latte levy has been deferred for now, which would have seen a 15 cent additional cost applied to most takeaway cups, to cut down on their use.

Research suggests around 250,000 cups a day could be diverted from Ireland’s landfills if measures were taken to take them out of society.
