It's now thought that it will be later tonight before Davy Fitzgerald releases a statement on his position with the Clare Senior Hurlers.

The Sixmilebridge man is expected to resign from the position that he has held since 2011, following reports of a players' meeting at which some said that the time had come for him to leave.
Fitzgerald managed Clare to the National Hurling League title in May, however there has been criticism of some of the Banners' recent championship performances.
