A historic Clare port has sustained significant damage following a collision.
It’s understood the entrance wall at Clarecastle Quay was struck by a large vehicle after 1pm on Sunday.

The incident has seen a section of the wall and the ‘Port of Clare’ sign dislodged, with the vehicular entrance now closed.
No injuries have been reported.
