Dail To Sit For Fifth Time Since Election But No Vote Expected

The Dáil sits for the fifth time today since the General Election – without any sign of a Taoiseach being elected.

A vote expected to take place later doesn't appear on the Oireachtas agenda.

However talks on Government formation are continuing between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil and are reported to be making progress.

But Labour leader Joan Burton has warned her party is preparing for another national election.
