Police and security officials in Cyprus are on high alert – after the Cypriot government agreed on a 10 billion euro bailout with the Troika on Monday.
A 300 euro limit is being placed on withdrawals, cheques will be banned and the use of Cypriot credit cards abroad will be curbed in a bid to block a run on banks.
Security at branches is being increased and there are 200 guards from private firm G4S deployed outside banks along with police.
