“Unsung Hero Mick Ryan” Explores Life Of Tragic Lahinch Engineer

A new radio documentary paints a portrait of a Clare man whose response to emergencies was immediate, unconditional and knew no borders.

“Unsung Hero Mick Ryan” documents the life of the Lahinch engineer, who was one of 157 people on board an Ethiopian Airlines flight, which crashed shortly after take off from Addis Ababa in March 2019, killing all those on board.

The President of Ireland and Taoiseach Micheál Martin are among those to pay tribute to Mick in the documentary, which is produced by Clare FM Programme Director Padraic Flaherty.
