The Central Statistics Office has today published data on arrivals from Ukraine based on those availing of supports and services from the Department of Social Protection.

There have been 2,572 Ukrainian arrivals to Clare since July 10th, up 83 in three weeks.

The largest portion of those are in the Ennistymon electoral area, where 1,236 are based.

In addition, there have been 649 PPSNs issued in the Ennis electoral area, 356 in Shannon, 291 in West Clare and 40 in Killaloe.

This means that as of Sunday last week, just under 6% of all Ukrainian arrivals to Ireland are based here in Clare.

It comes as pressure to provide accommodation for those arriving in this country remains in the spotlight.

Tented accommodation is being made available at Gormanston Army camp from tomorrow for refugees, after hundreds of people had to spend a night at the Old Terminal Building in Dublin Airport.
