Two Clare destinations have made the shortlist for the Irish Times ‘Best Place to Holiday in Ireland’ competition.
The Burren and Lough Derg have been named as two of the top vacations spots and both are now in the running for the overall title, which will be awarded over the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Clare is just one of four counties with two locations making the list.

The competition last took place in 2013 with the Loop Head Peninsula in West Clare emerging as the eventual winner.
