Tulla Oncology Nurse Warns Breast Cancer An Illness Of All Ages

A Tulla oncology nurse is warning that breast cancer is a disease that can impact women at any age.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with the Irish Cancer Society asking people to ‘Care For Your Pair’ by checking breasts regularly.

Nearly 4,000 women are diagnosed with the illness in Ireland each year, with a quarter of these being under 50 years of age.

Anne Murphy, who’s an oncology nurse for Slainte an Chlair, says young women need to be just as aware of their health as older women.
