Tánaiste Says Younger People In Nursing Homes ‘Not Right’

The Tánaiste says it is ‘not right’ that younger people are forced to stay in nursing homes.

Leo Varadkar was speaking in the Dáil when asked about Jennifer Hyrnes, a 42-year-old disabled Clare woman residing in a nursing home in Ennis.

While not commenting on her individual case, Minister Varadkar said the issue is widespread, and one that will be discussed in the coming weeks.
