Swedish Royalty Arrive In Ireland Ahead Of Clare Visit

Swedish royalty have arrived in Ireland as part of a three day state visit, which takes in a trip to North Clare.

King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia flew into Dublin this morning, after which they were greeted by President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina at Áras an Uachtaráin.

They’re taking part in a series of engagements across the capital today, while tomorrow’s events will include a meeting with the Taoiseach at Government Buildings.

The royal couple will conclude their visit at The Burren in Clare on Friday.
